This Crack Breakfast Casserole is a cheesy, creamy, and savory breakfast bake made with crescent rolls, eggs, cheddar cheese, and ranch seasoning. Ready in just 50 minutes, it’s perfect for weekend brunches, holiday mornings, or make-ahead breakfasts for busy days.
Ingredients
- 1 (8-oz) can refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1½ tablespoons ranch dressing mix
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the Dish: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
- Create the Base: Unroll crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams to form a crust.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle shredded cheddar evenly over the crescent roll crust.
- Mix the Egg Layer: In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, ranch dressing mix, and pepper until smooth.
- Assemble: Pour the egg mixture over the cheese layer, making sure it spreads evenly to the edges.
- Bake: Bake for 25–35 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Serve: Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, substitute the crescent roll base with a hash brown crust. To add more flavor, mix in sautéed vegetables or herbs before baking. This Crack Breakfast Casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
